Community guidelines
Intalingo Network connects interpreters and translators with the organizations that need them. These rules keep it a place where both sides can trust what they see.
Be respectful
- Treat everyone as a professional, in messages, bookings and reviews.
- No harassment, threats, insults or discrimination. No sexual content, and no spam or repeated unwanted messages.
- If someone doesn’t answer or declines a request, accept it. Blocking is always available from a conversation.
Keep profiles and credentials accurate
- Use your own name and photo, and describe only the languages, services and experience you really offer.
- Add only credentials that are yours and current. Intalingo staff check each one by hand before the Verified badge shows.
- Organizations describe themselves as they are. Don’t pretend to be another person, company or agency.
No payment requests through the site
- There are no payments on Intalingo Network. Rates on profiles are for information only.
- You agree terms and payment directly with the other side. Never send payment links, bank details or requests for deposits in messages, and never ask anyone to pay a fee to get work.
- Report anyone who does. It is one of the most common signs of a scam.
Protect sensitive documents
- Don’t send identity numbers, tax forms, immunization or background-check records in messages or project files.
- Share patient, client or case details only when a booking needs them, and only with the person doing the work.
- Remove files you no longer need. Project files can be removed while a booking is pending or confirmed.
Write honest, first-hand reviews
- Review only bookings you took part in, and describe what happened. Both sides can review within 14 days after a booking is completed.
- No offers or pressure in exchange for a review, no reviews of yourself, and no personal or patient details.
- Reviews are plain text without links. The person you review may reply once, publicly.
What happens after a report
- A moderator reads every report and looks at what was reported. The person is never told who reported them.
- The moderator then dismisses the report when nothing breaks these guidelines, records a warning, or removes the content: a review or message is taken down and a profile is hidden from the directory.
- Every decision is recorded. Repeated or serious problems can lead to the account being suspended.
How to report something
- Use Report on a profile’s menu, a conversation’s menu, a message’s menu or a review. Choose a reason and add details if they help.
- You can report up to 10 things a day, and each thing once while its report is open.
- If someone is in immediate danger, contact the local emergency services first.
